At the conclusion of the study on screen, the profile of capture-seizure of wild animals in Brazil was obtained, in the five geographic regions (North, Northeast, Center-West, Southeast and South), in addition, made possible the diagnosis of the current scenario of environmental inspection in the State of Ceará, in the performance of the environmental military police battalion - BPMA. The objective had been achieved by identifying regional differences, by investigating their variability and thus, relating them to their climatic characteristics, emphasizing the variation in the regions' rainfall. Data from annual catches of wild animals (birds, reptiles, amphibians and others) were seized by various institutions in the country, responsible for the inspection and control of this illegal activity, collected by the National Network Against Trafficking in Wild Animals (RENCTAS) during the period. 1992-2000. For precipitation, monthly data were used to make inferences of relationships with wild animal capture and seizure data collected from the Global Precipitation Climatology Center (GPCC) project of the National Center for Environment Prediction - National Oceanic Atmospheric Admistration (NCEP-NOAA). For an area between 80ºW-10ºE and 80ºS-5ºN in the period 1950-2016. The basic methodology used in the study is an analysis of parameters of descriptive statistics as measures of central tendency and dispersion to identify regional differences in the catches of these wild animals, in addition to the use of linear correlation with the objective achieved in relating this quantity of animals. catches with the distribution of precipitation in the Brazilian territory. The profile of this illegal activity in Brazil was obtained from the results outlined, highlighting its regional differences and its relations with climatic variability, which now provide information to competent institutions, where their strategies to combat this illegal practice will be better implemented. .
