EXPERIÊNCIA MATERNA NA ESTIMULAÇÃO DA CRIANÇA PREMATURA NO DOMICÍLIO: ATITUDES E DESAFIOS

Mães de crianças prematuras enfrentam situações de estresse emocional e físico que as tornam inseguras e receosas quanto aos cuidados domiciliares e a evolução do desenvolvimento de seu filho. Tendo em vista que o desenvolvimento infantil é influenciado pelas experiências de estímulos ambientais, este estudo objetivou compreender a percepção da mãe sobre a estimulação da criança prematura no domicílio. Utilizou-se uma abordagem qualitativa, descritiva e exploratória. Participaram da pesquisa, oito mães de crianças prematuras que frequentam o SEP (Setor de Estimulação Precoce) do Hospital Municipal Gonzaguinha da região metropolitana de Fortaleza-Ceará. Os dados foram coletados por meio de observação sistemática e entrevista semiestruturada nos lares visitados no período de maio a julho de 2015. Para organização dos dados empreendeu-se a redução do material discursivo utilizando-se para tal os princípios teóricos da hermenêutica. Foram obtidas 44 unidades de significado a partir da extração de 219 recortes das falas maternas; posteriormente foram realizadas reduções que culminaram em duas categorias temáticas, a saber: Experiência materna sobre a estimulação em domicílio; e Percepção materna sobre a estimulação do filho prematuro. A compreensão subsidiada pela literatura pertinente demonstrou o potencial materno de atender as necessidades do filho prematuro, apesar das diversas dificuldades com o manuseio da fragilidade do bebê e o acúmulo de tarefas, indicando a demanda de um suporte familiar adequado e apoio técnico mais consistente. Ao término desse estudo foi possível uma aproximação com a realidade vivenciada por esta população, que possibilitou compreender sua percepção sobre a estimulação do filho prematuro e permitiu a elaboração de um instrumento educativo de esclarecimento das questões mais frequentes entre os anseios e temores apresentados. Sugere-se a inclusão de visitas domiciliares que possam fazer um elo entre o SEP e o ambiente domiciliar, assegurando a viabilidade das propostas terapêuticas. Conclui-se ainda que se faz necessário maior aprofundamento do tema, dando continuidade à pesquisa, ampliando a abordagem da entrevista para o alcance de dados mais relevantes que possam favorecer mais estratégias de intervenção, além de contribuir com futuros estudos sobre o tema.

Abstract:
Mothers of premature children deal with situations of emotional and physical stress that makes them insecure and fearful about the home care and the evolution of the development of their children. Considering that child development is influenced by experiences with environmental stimuli, this study aimed to understand the perception of the mother about the stimulation of premature child at home. We used a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory approach. The participants were eight mothers of premature children who attend SEP (Setor de Estimulação Precoce - Early Stimulation Sector) of the Municipal Hospital Gonzaguinha the metropolitan area of Fortaleza, Ceará. Data were collected through systematic observation and semi-structured interviews in the homes visited in the period from May to July 2015. For the organization of the data it was made a reduction of the discursive material according to theoretical principles of hermeneutics. 44 meaning units were obtained from the extraction of 219 clippings of maternal lines; reductions were made after that culminated in two thematic categories, namely: Maternal experience of stimulation at home; and Maternal perception of stimulation of premature child. Understanding subsidized by the literature demonstrated maternal potential to meet the needs of premature infants, despite the various difficulties with handling the baby's fragility and the accumulation of tasks, indicating the demand for an adequate family support and more consistent technical support. At the end of this study it was possible an approach to the reality experienced by this population, which enabled us to understand their perception of stimulation of premature children and allowed the development of an educational tool for clarification of the frequently asked questions of the anxieties and fears presented. It is suggested the inclusion of home visits to make possible a link between the SEP and the home environment, ensuring the viability of the therapeutic proposals. It can also be concluded that it is most necessary the deepening of the issue, continuing the research, expanding the approach of the interview to achieve more relevant data that may favor more intervention strategies, and contribute to future studies on the subject .
