Resumo:
A presente dissertação, intitulada Declaro que sou ―Dona‖, viúva e cabeça de casal: mulheres administradoras de bens nos sertões de Quixeramobim (1727-1822) tem por objetivo perceber a atuação das mulheres ―Donas‖ e viúvas nos Sertões de Quixeramobim, Capitania do Siará grande, que ao adquirirem o direito de administrar seus próprios patrimônios herdados de seus falecidos maridos, podiam então, assumir a posição de cabeça de casal, antes restritas a eles. Para tal, buscar-se-á analisar os dispositivos jurídicos das Ordenações Filipinas relativo à nova posse que as mulheres adquiriram com a viuvez. Em seguida, procurar-se-á compreender os aspectos das riquezas que constituíram a composição dos bens recebidos de herança pelas viúvas, e assim, através dos percursos e rastros apreender as experiências que elas tiveram na posse de seus patrimônios nos sertões de Quixeramobim do século XVIII e início do XIX.

Abstract:
The present dissertation entitled I declare I am ―Dona‖, widow and head of family: administration women of goods in the backlands of the Quixeramobim (1727-1822) aims to realize the procedure of the women ―Donas‖ and widows in the backlands of the Quixeramobim, Capitaincy of Siará grande, who when they had received the right to administer your own inherited patrimony from their deceased husbands, they finally could to take on the position of head of family, before a role of their spouses. For this, will be analysed the legal devices from the Ordenações Filipinas concerning the new condition these women has acquired with widowhood. After that, the research will seek to know the aspects of the riches that composed the goods received of inheritance by those widows, and therefore, following their trails and routes, to learn more about the experiences they had as owner of their assets in the backlands of the Quixeramobim in the 18th century and beginning of the 19th century.
