A legitimação discursivo-midiática da ameaça de golpe bolsonarista: um estudo de notícias veiculadas no portal R7.com à luz da análise de discurso crítica

O cenário político contemporâneo brasileiro tem sido motivo de inúmeras reflexões nas mais variadas áreas do conhecimento. Dessa forma, não seria diferente pensar os estudos críticos da linguagem inseridos nessas reflexões e contribuindo social e linguisticamente para compreensão efetiva das nuances que permeiam as relações interpessoais por meio da língua. Nesse circuito de produção de conhecimento no contexto da modernidade tardia, esta tese objetiva analisar o processo de legitimação discursivo-midiática (LDM) da ameaça de golpe iminente do governo Bolsonaro pela mídia hegemônica brasileira, à luz dos pressupostos teóricos e metodológicos da Análise de Discurso Crítica. Pretende-se (i) contextualizar a conjuntura da ameaça de golpe bolsonarista; (ii) identificar como o modo textual contribuiu para o processo de legitimação discursivo-midiática da ameaça de golpe bolsonarista pelo Portal R7.com; (iii) investigar como as práticas discursivas contribuem para o processo de legitimação e, por fim; (iv) compreender como os processos de ideologia e hegemonia colaboram para a referida legitimação discursivo-midiática. Para tanto, toma-se como proposta teórico-metodológica transdisciplinar o modelo tridimensional proposto por Fairclough (2001; 2003), tendo em vista seu diálogo multidisciplinar com as ciências sociais, históricas e políticas, a exemplo dos trabalhos de Souza (2017) e Baldaia, Araújo e Araújo (2021). Para atender aos objetivos essenciais ao percurso investigativo que se debruçou sobre oito notícias veiculadas no portal R7.com, haja vista ser o segundo meio de comunicação mais difundido no Brasil e por apresentar conteúdos explícitos de legitimação e de apoio ao projeto golpista. Dessa forma, analisou-se as referidas notícias tomando por base o modelo tridimensional da ADC, por meio da prática textual, através das subcategorias vocabulário e avaliação; da prática discursiva, com a intertextualidade e a modalidade; e por meio da prática social com a ideologia e a hegemonia. Em suma, as análises mostram como a referida mídia hegemônica, representada pelo grupo R7.com, modaliza seu discurso na tentativa de legitimar o plano de governo do presidente Bolsonaro com seus constantes ataques à democracia, na forma como se utiliza de vocabulários que caracterizam o discurso em defesa do bolsonarismo e na atribuição de juízo de valor, com a avaliação positiva das ações e das ideias defendidas pelo então presidente e seus seguidores. Portanto, encontra-se na prática discursiva, os resultados da investigação acerca da modalidade – deôntica e epistêmica – e da intertextualidade recorrentes no discurso analisado como forma de sustentar a compreensão sobre as ideologias e a hegemonia inerentes à constituição textual e discursiva das notícias analisadas. Este trabalho se propõe em cooperar com a Linguística Aplicada, deixando reflexões necessárias acerca do cenário político e midiático brasileiro, na perspectiva de contribuir com futuras pesquisas no campo dos Estudos Críticos da Linguagem.
Abstract:
The Brazilian contemporary political scenario has been the reason for numerous reflections in the most varied areas of knowledge. Thus, it would not be different to think of critical language studies as part of these reflections and contributing socially and linguistically to the effective understanding of the nuances that permeate interpersonal relationships through language. In this circuit of knowledge production in the context of late modernity, this thesis aims to analyze the process of discourse-media legitimation (LDM) of the imminent coup threat of the Bolsonaro government by the Brazilian hegemonic media, in the light of the theoretical and methodological assumptions of Critical Discourse Analysis. It is intended to (i) contextualize the conjuncture of the Bolsonaro coup threat; (ii) identify how the textual mode contributed to the discursive-media legitimization process of the Bolsonaro coup threat by Portal R7.com; (iii) investigate how discursive practices contribute to the legitimization process and, finally; (iv) understand how the processes of ideology and hegemony collaborate to the mentioned discursive-media legitimization. To this end, we take as a transdisciplinary theoretical-methodological proposal the three-dimensional model proposed by Fairclough (2001; 2003), in view of its multidisciplinary dialogue with social, historical, and political sciences, as exemplified by the works of Souza (2017) and Baldaia, Araújo, and Araújo (2021). In order to meet the essential objectives of the investigative path, which focused on eight news items broadcast on the portal R7.com, given that it is the second most widespread media outlet in Brazil and that it presents explicit content of legitimization and support for the coup project. Thus, the aforementioned news were analyzed based on the three-dimensional model of CDA, through textual practice, through the subcategories vocabulary and evaluation; discursive practice, with intertextuality and modality; and through social practice with ideology and hegemony. In short, the analyses show how the hegemonic media, represented by the R7.com group, modalizes its discourse in an attempt to legitimize the government plan of President Bolsonaro with its constant attacks on democracy, in the way it uses vocabularies that characterize the discourse in defense of Bolsonarism and in the attribution of value judgment, with the positive evaluation of the actions and ideas advocated by the then president and his followers. Therefore, we find in the discursive practice, the results of the investigation about the modality - deontic and epistemic - and the recurrent intertextuality in the analyzed discourse as a way to sustain the understanding about the ideologies and the hegemony inherent in the textual and discursive constitution of the analyzed news. This work proposes to cooperate with Applied Linguistics, leaving necessary reflections about the Brazilian political and media scenario, with the perspective of contributing to future research in the field of Critical Language Studies.
