This monograph, the result of a literature search, aims to meet and discuss the
concepts of Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), their
understanding, definition, etiology, genetics, environmental factors, characteristics,
diagnosis, treatment, medications, possible causes for better identification in the
school and in the family. How psycho, the aim was to understand the phenomenon
better assist the child with the disorder, their difficulties in school and in life, building
diagnostics, treatments and problems related to reading and writing. Given that
ADHD has become increasingly common, it is observed that there is need for further
information to teachers and new methodologies to be worked in schools, as well as
the acceptance of both the family and school. Among the various causes of school
failure is ADHD among one of the most common due to the lack of preparation and
knowledge of family and teachers.
