A REPRESENTAÇÃO DA IDENTIDADE NORDESTINA NA LITERATURA DE CORDEL E NA POESIA POPULAR

Resumo:
Este trabalho parte do entendimento de que a literatura popular mantém um diálogo estreito com seu entorno social, o que faz com que as obras produzidas pelos poetas do povo se evidenciem como um instrumento de afirmação da identidade de uma dada coletividade. A partir desse entendimento, o objetivo geral deste trabalho é analisar como a identidade do nordestino é representada em manifestações poéticas de cunho popular, incluindo a Literatura de Cordel. Nessa perspectiva, efetuamos uma revisão crítica sobre obras de referência que discutem o conceito de identidade, com suas tipologias, incluindo sua representação literária e sua manifestação nacional nos atuais tempos de globalização. Em seguida, mostramos como se deu o processo de construção de estereótipos em relação à identidade nordestina no discurso regionalista local, na literatura da Geração de 1930 e no Cinema Novo. Por último, analisamos um corpus de textos produzidos por poetas populares, assinalando como os autores desses textos procuraram apresenta r a
identidade do nordestino despida dos estereótipos que os não nordestinos foram
erigindo ao longo do tempo , principalmente, através de poemas que versam sobre o
orgulho de ser nordestino, sobre as belezas naturais e culturais do Nordeste, sobre
alguns n ordestinos que se tornaram referência e sobre a hipótese já levantada de
essa região se tornar independente; por fim, incluímos ainda textos de um poeta que
versou sobre quase todos esses temas: Patativa do Assaré Assaré.

Abstract:
This work starts from the understanding that popular literature maintains a close dialogue with its social environment, which makes the works produced by the poets of the people become evident as a statement‟s instrument of identity of a particular collectivity. Based on this understanding, the aim of this paper is to analyze how the northeastern identity is represented in the poetic manifestations of popular slant, including Cordel Literature. In this perspective, we perform a critical review of reference works that discuss the concept of identity, with their typologies, including its literary representation and its national demonstration in current times of globalization. Then we show how was the process of building stereotypes about northeastern identity by local regionalist discourse, by literature of the Generation of 1930 and by New Cinema. At last, we analyze a corpus of texts written by popular poets, noting how the authors of these texts sought to present the identity of the northeastern stripped of stereotypes that the non-Northeasterners were erecting over time, mainly through poems that deal about the pride of to be northeastern, about the natural and cultural beauties of the Northeast, about some of northeastern have become reference Northeastern and about the hypothesis has raised of this region become independent; and finally we even included texts of a poet who delt about almost all of these topics: Patativa do Assare.
