CONSTRUÇÃO E VALIDAÇÃO DE MATERIAL EDUCATIVO PARA IDENTIFICAÇÃO DE SINAIS DE ALERTA À SAÚDE EM CRIANÇAS MENORES DE DOIS MESES

Para subsidiar o cuidado à saúde infantil, novas tecnologias e a capacitação profissional na área têm sido motivos de aumento na sobrevida e melhoria da qualidade de vida desta população. Nota-se que, na prática, muitas crianças recebem alta hospitalar, sem que seus pais saibam identificar e se conduzir ante os sinais de alerta que possam ser potencialmente fatais à saúde dos filhos em casa, interferindo na continuidade do cuidado no domicílio. Foi objetivo desta pesquisa construir e validar um material educativo, tipo álbum seriado, para identificação de sinais de alerta à saúde em crianças menores de dois meses. A relevância desta pesquisa se justifica pela produção de uma tecnologia com intervenção na prática educativa, tendo como proposta ser utilizada por profissionais em suas atividades de educação em saúde. Trata-se de estudo metodológico, sendo a construção e validação do álbum realizada segundo os passos propostos por Echer (2005), adaptado à realidade deste estudo. Obteve-se a busca de evidências na literatura sobre o cuidado domiciliar pós-alta, sendo visualizadas influências dos pais, dos profissionais e das práticas de saúde condicionadas a este cuidado. Estes achados auxiliaram na proposta de elaboração do álbum seriado Sinais de alerta à saúde do bebê: como identificar e cuidar precocemente. O álbum foi realizado com base nas recomendações do manual SavingNewbornLives, bem como de outras entidades nacionais como o Ministério da Saúde e da Sociedade Brasileira de Pediatria. Constitui-se de figuras ilustrativas nas folhas que ficam apresentadas aos pais, tendo no anteverso destas folhas fichas roteiros direcionadas aos profissionais para auxiliá-lo durante a fase de exposição da atividade educativa. Os sinais de alerta destacados foram: dificuldade para respirar; dificuldades com alimentação; frio; febre; infecção ocular; infecção do coto umbilical; icterícia; convulsões; morte súbita e sufocação. O álbum seriado foi validado segundo critérios metodológicos e estatísticos, sendo submetido à apreciação quanto ao conteúdo e aparência de 11 juízes especialistas. O instrumento de validação foi um questionário adaptado pela equipe do Grupo de Pesquisa e Práticas Educativas em Saúde e Cuidado na Amazônia. Os itens de avaliação foram distribuídos em três blocos: bloco 1 objetivos; bloco 2 estrutura e apresentação; bloco 3 relevância. A percentagem de concordância entre os juízes por bloco avaliado foi superior a 70%, tornando o material validado como intervenção educativa. Obtiveram-se as seguintes percentagens: bloco 1 (91%); bloco 2 (82%); bloco 3 (94%). As recomendações e/ou alterações dos juízes foram significativas para o aperfeiçoamento do álbum seriado. Deste modo, o resultado final da ferramenta educativa adiciona novas perspectivas sobre a inserção dos pais no cuidado domiciliar em crianças menores de dois meses, favorecendo a prevenção de riscos e a promoção da saúde da infantil.

Abstract:
To support children’s healthcare, new technologies and professional training in the area have led to increased survival and improved quality of life in this population. We notice that, in practice, many children are discharged from the hospital without the parents can identify and behave in the face of the warning signs that might be potentially fatal to the child health at home, thus interfering with the continuity of care at home. This research aimed to construct and validate an educational material, serial album type, in order to identify warning signs about health in children under two months. The relevance of this research is justified by the production of a technology with intervention on educational practice, which aims to be implemented by professionals in their health education activities. This is a methodological study, in which the construction and validation of the album took place based on the steps proposed by Echer (2005), adapted to the reality of this study. We performed a survey of evidence in the literature on post-discharge home care, identifying the influence of parents, professionals, and health practices conditioned to this care. These findings helped in drafting the proposed serial album “Warning Signs about baby’s health: early identification and care”. We based the album on the recommendations of the Saving Newborn Lives manual, as well as other national bodies such as the Ministry of Health and the Brazilian Society of Pediatrics. It consists of illustrative figures in the sheets offered to parents, having discussion cards in their back aimed at assisting the professionals during the presentation of educational activity. As for the warning signs, we highlighted breathing problems; feeding problems; cold; fever; eye infection; infection of the umbilical stump; jaundice; seizures; sudden death; and suffocation. To validate the serial album, we applied methodological and statistical criteria, and submitted it to the evaluation of content and appearance by 11 expert judges. The validation instrument was a questionnaire adapted by the team of the Group for Research and Educational Practices in Health Care in the Amazon. We divided the evaluation items into three groups: Group 1 - goals; Group 2 - structure and presentation; Group 3 - relevance. The percentage agreement among the judges per group evaluated was higher than 70%, thus making the material validated as educational intervention. We obtained the following percentages: Group 1 - 91%, Group 2 - 82%, Group 3 - 94%. The recommendations and/or changes from the judges were significant for the improvement of the serial album. Therefore, the result of the educational instrument adds new perspectives on the inclusion of parents in home care for children under two months, favoring risk prevention and promotion of child health.
