The purpose of this work is to expose the development of the activity of this public
policy that was laced by the state government in 2011 with the aim of speeding up
the investigation of the conduct of public security agents in the State of Ceará. In this
sense, the work will present the results obtained in the General Controllership of
Discipline of the Public Security and Penitentiary System organs of the State of
Ceará, referring to the disciplinary procedures applied to military police officers. In
this sense, it aims to qualitatively evaluate the results obtained. The work of
disciplinary control developed by the agency is essential for the performance of the
military police, aiming to discourage the practice of illegal acts by security agents and
allow society to trust and believe in the police service and have the security that the
deviations of conduct of these agents will be controlled. The work of evaluating the
disciplinary conduct and preventive correction carried out by the body is essential for
the performance of military police officers, in order to discourage the practice of illicit
acts by security agents and to allow society to trust and believe in police service and
the security that deviations of conduct from these agents will be controlled. On the
other hand, the agents that are supervised believe that the agency came to
persecute and expel, considering that the number of expulsions is considerable, and
even increased in the year 2017. The will of the agents and some of the political
environment is that the Controllership ceases to exist, even a Direct Action of
Unconstitutionality was filed in the Supreme Court in the year 2018.
