SIGNIFICADOS ATRIBUÍDOS POR ENFERMEIROS AO ACOMPANHAMENTO ODONTOLÓGICO NO PRÉ-NATAL

A assistência à mulher é um relevante assunto a ser discutido e envolve diversos contextos e mudanças durante toda a sua vida, em que cada momento tem suas particularidades e necessidades. Especialmente na gestação, a mulher vivencia diversas alterações, tanto fisiológicas quanto emocionais, e necessita de uma série de cuidados. Nessa perspectiva, o pré-natal denota um cuidado interdisciplinar à mulher e é realizado diretamente pelo médico e pelo enfermeiro. Já o dentista vem se integrando a essa equipe com o intuito de melhorar a qualidade de vida da gestante e garantir um acompanhamento interdisciplinar. Com isso, objetivou-se conhecer os significados que os enfermeiros atribuem ao acompanhamento odontológico no pré-natal. O estudo foi do tipo exploratório descritivo, com abordagem qualitativa, realizado com seis enfermeiros que realizam o pré-natal na atenção primária à saúde, no município de Fortaleza, Ceará, Brasil. A coleta de dados ocorreu de junho a agosto de 2018, mediante entrevistas individuais. Para análise de dados foi utilizada a análise temática e a partir da mesma puderam-se elaborar três categorias: 1) Interdisciplinaridade na assistência à saúde da gestante; 2) Percepção dos enfermeiros acerca do acompanhamento odontológico durante a gestação; 3) Ações de enfermagem durante o pré-natal em relação à saúde bucal da gestante. Com as falas categorizadas pôde-se perceber a ênfase que os enfermeiros inseridos na atenção básica dão ao acompanhamento odontológico no pré-natal, onde os mesmos orientam as gestantes sobre sua saúde bucal e encaminham as mesmas para avaliação odontológica. Por fim, pôde-se perceber que esse acompanhamento é importante para a obtenção de um cuidado interdisciplinar à gestante, prevenindo acontecimentos inesperados durante a gestação e complicações futuras, que levam a agravos, tanto para a mãe quanto para o bebê. Pôde-se também compreender a importância que os enfermeiros explicitaram no tocante à saúde bucal das gestantes, cuja maioria referiu encaminhá-las para avaliação odontológica na primeira consulta, mesmo aquelas que não apresentavam agravos relacionados à cavidade oral. Abstract:
Women's care is a relevant subject to be discussed and involves various contexts and changes throughout their lives, where each moment has its particularities and needs. Especially during pregnancy, the woman experiences several changes, both physiological and emotional, and needs a lot of care. From this perspective, the prenatal care shows an interdisciplinary care to the woman and is performed directly by the doctor and the nurse. The dentist has been integrating with this team in order to improve the quality of life of the pregnant woman and ensure an interdisciplinary follow-up. The purpose of this study was to understand the meanings that nurses attribute to prenatal dental care. The study was a descriptive exploratory type, with a qualitative approach, carried out with six nurses who perform prenatal care in primary health care in the city of Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil. The data collection took place from June to August of 2018, through individual interviews. For the data analysis, the thematic analysis was used and from the same it was possible to elaborate three categories: 1) Interdisciplinarity in the healthcare to the pregnant woman; 2) Nurses' perception of dental care during pregnancy; 3) Nursing actions during prenatal care in relation to the pregnant woman's oral health. With the categorized speeches, it was possible to perceive the emphasis that the nurses inserted in the basic attention give to the dental attendance in the prenatal, where they guide the pregnant women about their oral health and refer them for dental evaluation. Finally, it can be seen that this monitoring is important to obtain an interdisciplinary care to the pregnant woman, preventing unexpected events during pregnancy and future complications, which lead to disruptions, both for the mother and the baby. It was also possible to understand the importance of the nurses in explaining the oral health of pregnant women, the majority of whom referred them for dental evaluation at the first visit, even those who did not present oral cavity problems.
