A MEDIAÇÃO DE CONFLITOS NO AMBIENTE PÚBLICO ESCOLAR PARA PROMOVER A CULTURA DE PAZ – ESTUDO DE CASO NA ESCOLA ESTADUAL SENADOR OSIRES PONTES

A mediação procura ensinar aos membros da comunidade escolar a olhar as diferenças com respeito e tolerância, traçando novos caminhos na construção das relações, promovendo uma cultura através do diálogo e da paz. Assim, este trabalho científico compreende um estudo de caso, tendo como lócus para a pesquisa a Escola Pública Estadual de Ensino Fundamental e Médio Senador Osires Pontes, situada em uma região considerada violenta e representa uma das escolas piloto que compõem o projeto “Célula de Mediação Social e Cultura de Paz”, desenvolvido pela Secretaria Estadual de Educação do Estado do Ceará (SEDUC), com o propósito de envolver as técnicas de mediação para a resolução de conflitos e promoção da cultura de paz. O objetivo geral da investigação foi analisar as contribuições positivas e desafios identificados pela escola com a implantação da mediação para a resolução de conflitos e a promoção da cultura de paz. Como objetivos específicos busca-se identificar os tipos de conflitos mais frequentes ocorridos na escola, se a partir da aplicação das técnicas de mediação, há redução nas demandas conflitivas do ambiente escolar. Analisa-se, ainda, se com a mudança do clima escolar há transformação nas atitudes e comportamentos por parte dos membros da comunidade escolar (alunos, professores e núcleo gestor). A investigação compreende alguns procedimentos metodológicos, dentre eles, a observação direta do espaço e do cotidiano escolar e a entrevista semiestruturada com 06 membros da comunidade escolar, constando de uma coordenadora pedagógica, uma mediadora, dois professores e duas alunas. A análise de dados é realizada seguindo a abordagem qualitativa por envolver um caráter subjetivo, estudando as suas particularidades e experiências individuais. Os dados obtidos revelam que a comunidade escolar, em sua maioria, compreende a relevância da mediação na resolução de conflitos, além de favorecer a reflexão, no sentido, de melhorar as relações e promover a cultura de paz. A mediação contribui na mudança de docentes relacionadas à condução do fazer pedagógico e do respeito ao tempo de aprendizagem de cada aluno. Referente aos discentes, corresponde à dedicação destes ao estudo, obtendo resultados satisfatórios relacionados às notas, como também a diminuição da indisciplina por parte destes em sala de aula. Por fim, o núcleo gestor intensifica a gestão democrática por meio de ações voltadas ao diálogo e participação ativa da comunidade nas decisões da escola. Portanto, a 9 inserção do projeto de mediação traz melhoria no clima escolar, reduzindo a incidência dos conflitos e promovendo ações ligadas a cultura de paz. Palavras-chave: Mediação. Conflitos. Abstract:
Mediation seeks to teach members of the school community to look at differences with respect and tolerance, charting new paths in building relationships, promoting a culture through dialogue and peace. Thus, this scientific work comprised a case study, having as a locus for the research the Public State School of Elementary and Secondary Education Senator Osires Pontes located in a region considered violent and represents one of the pilot schools that make up the project "Social Mediation Cell and Culture of Peace "developed by the State Secretariat of Education of the State of Ceará (SEDUC) with the purpose of involving mediation techniques for the resolution of conflicts and promotion of a culture of peace. Our general objective was to analyze the positive contributions and challenges identified by the school with the implementation of mediation for the resolution of conflicts and the promotion of a culture of peace. As specific objectives we sought to identify the most frequent types of conflicts that occurred in school, if from the application of mediation techniques, there was a reduction in the conflicting demands of the school environment. We also analyzed whether, with the change in the school climate, there was a change in attitudes and behaviors on the part of the members of the school community (students, teachers and management nucleus). The investigation comprised some methodological procedures, among them, the direct observation of the space and of the daily school life and the semistructured interview with 06 members of the school community consisting of a pedagogical coordinator, a mediator, two teachers and two students. The data analysis was carried out following the qualitative approach because it involves a subjective character, studying its particularities and individual experiences. The data revealed that the school community, for the most part, understands the relevance of mediation in conflict resolution, as well as fostering reflection, in the sense of improving relations and promoting a culture of peace. The mediation contributed to the change of teachers related to the conduction of the pedagogical make and respect to the learning time of each student; already in the students corresponded the dedication of these to the study obtaining satisfactory results related to the notes, as well as the decrease of the indiscipline on the part of these in the classroom. Finally, the managing nucleus intensified democratic management through actions aimed at dialogue and active community participation in school decisions. Therefore, the insertion of the mediation project brought an 11 improvement in the school climate reducing the incidence of conflicts and promoting actions linked to a culture of peace.
