Resumo:
Esta dissertação tem como campo de estudo o movimento junino do estado do
Ceará, representado por meio das narrativas dos mestres brincantes que o
compõem, bem como o meio social que o detém. Este estudo visa analisar o
processo histórico e cultural de evolução das quadrilhas juninas cearenses, por meio
da identificação de suas raízes, bem como do cenário pós-moderno das quadrilhas
juninas no estado, além de perceber como o meio social enxerga esse cenário. Temse, desse modo, o estudo das quadrilhas juninas como em atrativo turístico cultural
pouco explorado no Ceará. A metodologia deste estudo caracteriza-se como um
estudo do tipo descritivo, com uma abordagem qualitativa, que tem como
instrumento de análise geral a fenomenologia para a investigação das variáveis
citadas. A obtenção dos resultados foi realizada por meio do uso da história de vida,
bem como de grupos focais que foram sujeitos à análise de conteúdo. Por fim, foram
identificadas as raízes dos festejos junino no estado, assim como foi obtido um
delinear do hibridismo cultural cujo espetacularizado cenário pós-moderno insere as
quadrilhas juninas no mercado cultural. O estudo revelou, ainda, a ascendência de
uma nova categorização das quadrilhas juninas cearense, além da percepção social
contraditória em relação às hibridações sofridas e causadas pelo movimento junino
cearense.

Abstract:
This dissertation has as its field of study the Junino movement on the state of Ceará,
represented through the narratives of the bragging masters that compose it, as well
as the social environment that holds it. This study aims to analyze the historical and
cultural process of evolution of the juninas gangs of Ceará, through the identification
of their roots, as well as the postmodern scenario of the juninas gangs in the state,
as well as to understand how the social environment sees this scenario. This way,
the study of the juninas gangs as a cultural tourist attraction is very little explored in
Ceará. The methodology of this study is characterized as a descriptive study with a
qualitative approach that has as a general analysis instrument the phenomenology
for the investigation of the cited variables. The results were obtained through the use
of life history, as well as focus groups that were subject to content analysis. Finally,
the roots of the junino festivities in the state were identified, just as a cultural
hybridism outline was obtained, which the spectacular postmodern scenario inserts
the Juninas gangs into the cultural market. The study also revealed the ascendancy
of a new categorization of the juninas gangs of Ceará, as well as the contradictory
social perception regarding the hybridizations suffered and caused by the junino
movement of Ceará.
