ANATOMIA ECOLÓGICA FOLIAR DE TRÊS ESPÉCIES DE MYRTACEAE OCORRENTES NO LITORAL CEARENSE

Myrtaceae possui grande importância medicinal em que o gênero Eugenia L. e Myrcia DC. estão dentre os de maior importância dentro da família. A anatomia foliar ecológica desses gêneros ainda é pouco estudada, em específico as espécies Eugenia luschnathiana (O.Berg) Klotzsch ex B.D.Jacks., E. punicifolia Kunth. e Myrcia guianensis (Aubl.) DC. principalmente quando relacionada às condições ambientais quanto a luminosidade e sazonalidade. Sabendo-se da importância do estudo de anatomia vegetal no entendimento das estruturas internas em adaptação com o ambiente, na correta classificação taxonômica e no controle da qualidade botânica como matéria prima na indústria de alimentos e na farmacologia, o presente trabalho teve o objetivo caracterizar a anatomia da folha de E. luschnathiana, E. punicifolia e Myrcia guianensis (Aubl.) DC. nas estações de chuva e seca, bem como, ao sol e à sombra na Restinga cearense, visando gerar informações úteis para a compreensão das adaptações morfoanatômicas às condições naturais de ocorrência da espécie. Para isso foram realizadas coletas de folhas totalmente expandidas no Parque Estadual Botânico do Ceará para E. luschnathiana e E. punicifolia; e no Jardim Botânico de São Gonçalo para Myrcia guianensis (Aubl.) DC., em que as folhas coletadas foram fixadas em FAA70, sendo substituído por etanol 70% após 24 horas. As espécies foram submetidas aos procedimentos anatômicos usuais no Laboratório de Ecologia. Como resultado qualitativo as espécies apresentaram algumas características em comum como presença de cutícula espessa, folhas hipoestomáticas, células epidérmicas comuns com paredes sinuosas, presença de cavidades secretoras e fibras abundantes na nervura central. Em relação aos dados quantitativos, pode-se constatar que as espécies apresentaram características que variaram nas condições ambientais testadas mostrando a capacidade de aclimatação ao meio ambiente. Abstract:
Myrtaceae has great medicinal importance in the genus Eugenia L. and Myrcia DC. are among the most important within the family. The ecological foliar anatomy of these genera is still little studied, specifically the species Eugenia luschnathiana (O.Berg) Klotzsch ex B.D. Jacks., E. punicifolia Kunth. and Myrcia guianensis (Aubl.) DC. especially when related to the environmental conditions as the luminosity and seasonality. Knowing the importance of the study of plant anatomy in the understanding of internal structures in adaptation to the environment, correct taxonomic classification and botanical quality control as raw material in the food industry and in pharmacology, the present work had the objective to characterize the anatomy of the leaf of E. luschnathiana, E. punicifolia and Myrcia guianensis (Aubl.) DC. in the rainy and dry seasons, as well as, in the sun and shade in the Restinga cearense, aiming to generate useful information for the understanding of the morphoanatomic adaptations to the natural conditions of occurrence of the species. For this purpose, collections of fully expanded leaves were carried out in the State Botanical Park of Ceara for E. luschnathiana and E. punicifolia; and at the São Gonçalo Botanical Garden for Myrcia guianensis (Aubl.) DC., in which the collected leaves were fixed in FAA70 and replaced by 70% ethanol after 24 hours. The species were submitted to the usual anatomical procedures in the Ecology Laboratory. As a qualitative result the species presented some common characteristics such as presence of thick cuticle, hypoestomatic leaves, common epidermal cells with sinuous walls, presence of secretory cavities and abundant fibers in the central vein. In relation to the quantitative data, it can be observed that the species presented characteristics that varied in the environmental conditions tested showing the capacity of acclimatization to the environment.
