RESUMO
Estudo acerca da problemática relacionada à atividade de pedreiras para produção de agregados, especificamente da pedra britada, no Município de Itaitinga. Este município pertence à Região Metropolitana de Fortaleza (RMF), Estado do Ceará, e apresenta-se como um importante e estratégico fornecedor deste material, pois localiza-se a 26km da Capital do Estado. Esta atividade, no entanto, que era de grande importância para o desenvolvimento local, começa a ser percebida como geradora de inúmeros impactos socioambientais negativos, tornando-se causa de conflitos entre a população local e os donos de pedreiras. A pouca distância das pedreiras da área urbana deste município, enseja várias externalidades para a população residente nas adjacências, além das influências negativas diretas detectadas em todas as etapas do processo de produção e que tem como consequência a descaracterização da paisagem, a retirada da vegetação no local de extração, a fuga da fauna, ruídos e vibrações e a geração de poeiras. Então, para melhor entendimento da transformação do espaço causada por esta atividade e suas implicações socioambientais é necessário compreender quais os usos no território; como eles se desenvolveram historicamente; quem se beneficia dessa exploração; quais os influxos causados nos recursos naturais; que tipo de interferência os usos/exploração dos recursos minerais causam nos sistemas ambientais físicos e se vem gerando degradação ambiental. Para isso, este trabalho examina o ambiente do Município de Itaitinga, com suporte na interação dos componentes naturais e atividades econômicas, como evidências de degradação dos recursos minerais. Tem por pressuposto teórico-metodológico a análise geoambiental integrada, balizada por discussões críticas relacionadas ao processo de apropriação dos recursos naturais.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT The present research to deal of the problematic related to the activity of quarries in the town of Itaitinga, specifically of the stone crushed. This town belongs to the Região Metropolitana de Fortaleza (RMF), state of Ceará, and presents-itself as an important and strategic supplier of this stuff, therefore locates-itself to 26km of the capital of the state. However, this activity that was of big importance for the local development begins it to be perceived like impacts endless number generator social-environments negative, becoming causes of conflicts between the local population and the owners of quarries. To little distance of the quarries of the urban area of this town, at present eleven active quarries exist, has generated several externalities for the resident population in the proximities, beyond the straight impacts detected in all the phases of the trial of output and that has like consequence to destruction of the landscape, the retreat of the vegetation in the localities of extraction, the escape of the fauna, noises and vibrations and the generation of dust. Then, for a better understanding of the trial of transformation of the space caused by this activity and his implications social-environments have the need of understand which the existing uses in the territory; as they developed to the long of the history; who is benefited with that exploitation; which the impacts caused us natural resources; that kind of interference the uses/exploitation of the mineral resources causes us physical environmental systems and itself comes causing environmental degradation. For that, this work seeks to analyze the environment of the town of Itaitinga, from the interaction between the natural components and the economic activities, guided like evidences of degradation of the mineral resources. Having like theoretical-methodological budget the analysis geoenvironmental integrated, delimited by critical arguments related to the trial of appropriation of the natural resources.
