ITINERÁRIOS TERAPÊUTICOS DE FAMÍLIAS EM BUSCA DE ATENDIMENTO PARA SEUS FILHOS COM CÂNCER

RESUMO
O presente estudo trata da trajetória que as crianças e suas mães percorrem em busca de atendimento para o tratamento do câncer na rede de atenção do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS), desde o momento em que as mães/cuidador percebem os sinais da doença na criança, até a admissão no hospital de referência para o início do tratamento. Os objetivos da pesquisa foram compreender o itinerário terapêutico de crianças com câncer e suas famílias em busca de tratamento no sistema de saúde do Ceará, identificar as atitudes das mães/famílias frente ao reconhecimento dos sinais da doença da criança e conhecer os comportamentos de busca de cuidados realizados pelas mães/famílias frente aos sinais da doença. Pesquisa qualitativa, descritiva desenvolvida a partir das entrevistas realizadas com dez mães que permaneciam com seus filhos em tratamento para o câncer no Hospital Infantil Albert Sabin. Os principais resultados do estudo foram divididos em quatro categorias: O início da doença e a busca por cuidados de saúde na rede formal; os sentimentos vivenciados pelas mães a partir do diagnóstico do filho; a avaliação dos serviços recebidos; a rede de apoio informal e as perspectivas para outras mães. Percebeu-se que a maioria das mães buscaram o serviço de atenção primária como primeira escolha para o atendimento do filho, entretanto para algumas o setor primário demonstrou fragilidade na atenção prestada. Ao término do estudo, pode-se concluir que os caminhos traçados pelas mães/famílias foram repletos de enfrentamentos, e de algumas dificuldades, e que a rede ainda precisa de melhorias para a captação devida de pacientes que buscam atenção de saúde no âmbito terciário.
The present study deals with the trajectory that the children and their mothers travel in search of care for the treatment of cancer in the care network of the Unified Health System (SUS), from the moment the mothers / caregivers perceive the signs of the disease in the Until admission to the referral hospital for the start of treatment. The objectives of the research were to understand the therapeutic itinerary of children with cancer and their families in search of treatment in the health system of Ceará, to identify the attitudes of the mothers / families in front of the recognition of signs of the child's illness and to know the behaviors of search of Mothers / families in the face of signs of illness. Qualitative, descriptive research developed from the interviews with ten mothers who remained with their children in treatment for cancer at the Albert Sabin Children's Hospital. The main results of the study were divided into four categories: the onset of the disease and the search for health care in the formal network; The feelings experienced by the mothers from the diagnosis of the child; The evaluation of the services received; informal support system and perspectives to other mothers. It was noticed that the majority of the mothers sought the primary care service as the first choice for the care of the child, however for some the primary sector showed fragility in the attention paid. At the end of the study, it can be concluded that the paths traced by the mothers / families were full of confrontations, and some difficulties, and that the network still needs improvements for the adequate intake of patients seeking health care in the tertiary.
