TRAVESSIAS CARTOGRÁFICAS DAS PRÁTICAS DE LETRAMENTOS NÃO
ESCOLARES DA JUVENTUDE DA PERIFERIA DE FORTALEZA: UMA VIVÊNCIA NO PROGRAMA VIVA A PALAVRA!

Abordagens sociais do letramento têm orientado pesquisadores/as a vivenciarem os usos sociais de leitura e escrita nos mais diversos contextos a fim de compreender a complexidade das práticas de letramento. Inspirado nesta perspectiva e no projeto de pesquisa “Por uma pragmática cultural: cartografias descoloniais e gramáticas culturais em jogos de linguagem do cotidiano” (ALENCAR, 2013) do Núcleo Interdisciplinar de Estudos em Pragmática (NIPRA), sediado na Universidade Estadual do Ceará (UECE), busco cartografar algumas práticas de letramentos das/os jovens do Grande Lagamar, especificamente da juventude da comunidade Cidade de Deus, visando, em linhas gerais, identificar agentes e agências de letramentos, bem como investigar no discurso da juventude menções aos problemas enfrentados por ela e por sua comunidade, a saber: violência e reintegração de posse do terreno onde moram. Ancoro-me teoricamente na perspectiva social e ideológica dos letramentos, nas práticas juvenis de socialização, na Linguística Aplicada Indisciplinar/Crítica/Transgressiva, nos estudos descoloniais e na abordagem pedagógica de Paulo Freire. Concebendo a pesquisa como uma prática interventiva, o método da cartografia, através de suas pistas, possibilitou-me registrar momentos singulares das práticas de letramentos juvenis da periferia. Os dados colhidos através de questionários, textos de memórias, fanzines, entrevistas e depoimentos foram gerados nas travessias cartográficas que realizei durante o segundo semestre de 2014 e o primeiro de 2015. As análises sinalizaram uma mescla, por parte da juventude, de práticas de letramentos dominantes e de letramentos vernaculares. Ficou evidenciado na experiência que tive com as/os jovens da comunidade que a violência do local, de certa forma, tem desestimulado a juventude a se integrar, visto que a interação entre eles/as é reduzida por conta do medo que sentem. A produção dos fanzines de duas jovens revelou um universo cultural juvenil amplo e diversificado que tem permitido os/as jovens resistirem ao ambiente, muitas vezes hostil, onde moram.

Abstract:
Social approach of literacy has led many researches to deal with the social uses of reading and writing in different contexts, aiming to understand the complexity of literacy practices. Based on this perspective and in the research project “In favor of a cultural grammar: decolonial cartographies and cultural grammar in language games of ordinary life.” (ALENCAR, 2013), which is part of Interdisciplinary Group of Pragmatics Studies, in Portuguese, “Núcleo Interdisciplinar de Estudos em Pragmática” (NIPRA), established in The State University of Ceará (UECE), I intended to cartography the literacy practices of some teenagers who live in a quarter called “Grande Lagamar”, mainly the group of teenagers of the community called “Cidade de Deus”. I intended, in a general view, to identify the agents and agencies of literacy and Ialso investigated the teenager discourse, focusing on the problems faced by their community, such as those: violence and repossession of the area where they live. As my scope of investigation, I took into consideration the social and ideological perspective of the literacy, the teenager’s practices of socialization, Applied Linguistics in its sense of Indisciplinary/Critics/Transgression, decolonial studies and the pedagogical approach of Paulo Freire. In this work, the research was taken as an action of intervention and the cartographic method, based on its clues, was a field of possibilities to register the single moments of the literacy practices developed by those adolescents who live in peripheral area. The data in this work were constructed throughout cartographical-crossing movements based on questionnaires, texts of memories, fanzines, interviews and reports which were experienced in the second semester of 2014 and the first semester of 2015. The analyses, focusing the cited adolescents, pointed out a mixture of dominant practices of literacy and vernacular literacies. It was clear in my experience with the adolescents of the community that the local violence, in some way, has reduced the teenager’s desire for integration as their social contacts are mitigated because of the fear. The fanzines made by two young girls revealed a wide, diverse teenager universe that has helped those adolescents to resist to the hostile environment where they live.
