ANÁLISE DA COMPETITIVIDADE DAS EXPORTAÇÕES BRASILEIRAS
DE SOJA NO PERÍODO DE 2000 A 2015

RESUMO
O presente estudo objetivou analisar o Índice de Vantagem Comparativa Revelada (IVCR) das exportações da commodity soja na região Nordeste, com ênfase nos estados da Bahia, Maranhão e Piauí, e na região Sul, a partir de um levantamento detalhado, ano a ano, no período que se estendeu de 2000 a 2015. O cálculo desse índice pode revelar duas situações, sendo a primeira, caso seu resultado seja menor que 1, a região apresenta desvantagem comparativa na exportação da commodity analisada; e, na segunda, caso o resultado seja maior que 1, a região apresenta vantagem comparativa na exportação da mesma commodity. Para tanto, foram utilizados dados de origem secundária, extraídos do Sistema AliceWeb, de domínio do Ministério do Desenvolvimento, Indústria e Comércio Exterior (MDIC), bem como do próprio site do Ministério do Desenvolvimento, Indústria e Comércio Exterior (MDIC). A partir da análise, foi possível observar que, no período de 2000 à 2015, a região Nordeste apresentou um IVCR inferior a 1, portanto não possuindo Vantagem Comparativa Revelada na exportação da soja. Já a região Sul, no mesmo período, teve um IVCR superior a 1, apresentando dessa forma Vantagem Comparativa Revelada na exportação da soja.

ABSTRACT
The present study aimed to analyze the Revealed Comparative Advantage Index (RCAI) of commodity soybean exports in the Northeast region, with emphasis in the states of Bahia, Maranhão and Piauí, and in the South region, from a detailed survey, year by year, in the period that extended from 2000 to 2015. The calculation of this index may reveal two situations, the first being, if your result is less than 1, the region has comparative disadvantage in the export of the commodity analyzed; and, at second, if the result is greater than 1, the region has comparative advantage in the export of the same commodity. Therefore, secondary source data were used, taken from AliceWeb System, domain of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIF), as well as the own website of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIF). From the analysis, it was possible to observe that, in the period from 2000 to 2015, the Northeast region presented a RCAI less than 1, so not having Revealed Comparative Advantage in the export of soybeans. Already the South, in the same period, had a greater than 1 RCAI, showing thus Revealed Comparative Advantage in the export of soybeans.
