Resumo:
RESUMO O presente trabalho tem como objetivo compreender os desafios enfrentados pelas mulheres que acompanham seus filhos recém-nascidos no Berçário Médio Risco (BMR), parte da Unidade de Neonatologia do Hospital Geral Dr. Waldemar Alcântara (HGWA). Através da observação das dificuldades que as mães enfrentam para permanecerem acompanhando seus filhos – mesmo após, muitas vezes, um procedimento cirúrgico (parto cesáreo) – percebemos a necessidade de conhecer as experiências vividas por essas mulheres e os mecanismos criados por elas para superar os desafios, uma vez que compreendemos a importância da presença materna, bem como o direito do recém-nascido de permanecer acompanhado. A pesquisa, de natureza qualitativa, foi desenvolvida com uma amostra de seis genitoras, por meio da observação participante e da aplicação de entrevista semiestruturada, objetivando conhecer a experiência dessas mulheres através das suas visões acerca do que facilita e do que dificulta seu acompanhamento; da sua relação com a equipe; da sua relação com sua família; da importância que ela dá ao acompanhamento do seu filho, entre outras considerações. Compreendemos que as mulheres entrevistadas entendem o acompanhamento neonatal como um direito, porém atribuem à seu papel enquanto mãe. Além disso, notamos que elas mantinham um bom relacionamento com a equipe multiprofissional – o que é importante para a recuperação da criança – e que a presença da família e o apoio afetivo desta é de fundamental importância para que as puérperas superem as dificuldades que surgem durante a hospitalização do bebê. Portanto, é necessário um atendimento humanizado e de qualidade tanto para as mães como para os pais e familiares dos recém-nascidos. Abstract:
ABSTRACT This study aims to understand the challenges faced by womem that accompnny their newborn children at average risk nursery in the General Hospital Doctor Waldemar Alcantara. Through observation of the difficulties mothers face to remain accompanying their children – even after often a surgical procedure (Cesarean section) – we realized the need to know the experiences of these women and the mechanisms created for them to meet the challenges, once we understand the importance of maternal presence, as well as the right of the newborn to remain accompanied. The qualitative research was conducted with a sample of six mothers, through participant observation and semi-structured interviews application, order to know the experience of these women through their visions of what helps and what hinders its monitoring; its relationship with the team; their relationship with their family; the importance it gives to monitoring their child, among other considerations. We realize that women interviewed understand the neonatal monitoring as a right, but ascribe to the their role as mother. Moreover, we note that they maintained a good relationship with the multidisciplinary team – what is important for the child's recuperation – and that the presence of the family and the emotional support of this is very important for the mothers to overcome the difficulties that arise during hospital stay baby. So a humanized and quality service is necessary both for the mothers and for the fathers and families of newborns. Keywords: Neonatal monitoring; Mother-woman relationship (maternity); Family
