Por tratar-se de uma atividade dinâmica e de elevados impactos socioeconômicos e ambientais nas áreas receptoras, o turismo torna-se ainda mais importante e preocupante em comunidades costeiras, como a vila do Preá, litoral de Cruz, costa extremo oeste cearense, cujos ecossistemas são mais vulneráveis às intervenções antrópicas. Observando-se o rápido, dinâmico e não planejado avanço da urbanização sobre as áreas verdes nessa comunidade costeira, com evidentes impactos socioeconômicos, étnicos e ambientais associados ao turismo (e. g. (re)territorialização espacial, (re)colonização cultural e avanço da urbanização sobre as áreas naturais), objetivou-se fazer uma análise diacrônica da ocupação e massificação turística no litoral de Cruz: das implicações sociais às transformações ambientais, em um recorte temporal compreendido entre 1990 e 2022. Nesta perspectiva, buscou-se fazer uma análise diacrônica com base no contexto histórico de construção do território de Cruz e das atividades econômicas relacionadas: da colonização à turistificação; contribuir academicamente e socialmente com a sugestão de metodologia capaz de melhorar a acurácia técnica na pesquisa quanti-qualitativa e com a indicação de intervenções técnicas que apontem para o planejamento e gestão sustentável do turismo no lugar, incluindo os autóctones como protagonistas no mercado turístico local. Neste sentido, trilhou-se pelo campo da dialética, associado à visão holística e fenomenológica, buscando-se compreender o objeto como parte integrante do todo e concebendo-se o turismo como fator catalisador dos processos transformantes dos espaços naturais. O procedimento técnico-operacional deste estudo caracteriza-o como do tipo triangular e quanti-qualitativo. A amostra populacional deste estudo de caso foi constituída de 488 atores. O estudo revelou que historicamente foram vários os fatores que corroboraram para o adensamento populacional e desenvolvimento econômico da região da enseada do rio Acaraú desde o início do século XVII. Constatou-se que no atual contexto turístico regional a vila do Preá tornou-se um lugar agitado pelo intenso fluxo de visitantes e de veículos automotor, que cortam diuturnamente o coração da vila, e pelas revoadas de pipas que colore o céu nas tardes ensolaradas da praia. Neste cenário, a especulação imobiliária configura-se como pano de fundo do avanço da urbanização, dos conflitos associados ao uso e ocupação da terra e da quebra de paradigma da cultura de maritimidade local, face à ascendente cultura de maritimidade do consumo. Neste cenário, os sujeitos locais são afetados distintamente e teleologiamente pelo fenômeno turístico, sendo o kitesurf concebido pelos mesmos como o principal fator indutor de desenvolvimento do lugar.
Abstract:
As a dynamic activity with high socio-economic and environmental impacts on the recipient areas, tourism becomes even more important and worrying in coastal communities, such as the village of Preá, on the coast of Cruz, on the far west coast of Ceará, whose ecosystems are more vulnerable to anthropic interventions. Observing the rapid, dynamic and unplanned advance of urbanization over green areas in this coastal community, with obvious socio-economic, ethnic and environmental impacts associated with tourism (e.g. general: spatial (re)territorialization, cultural (re)colonization and the advance of urbanization over natural areas), the aim was to carry out a diachronic analysis of the occupation and massification of tourism on the Cruz coast: from the social implications to environmental transformations, in a time frame between 1990 and 2022. From this perspective, we sought to carry out a diachronic analysis based on the historical context of the construction of the territory of Cruz and the related economic activities: from colonization to touristification; to contribute academically and socially by suggesting a methodology capable of improving technical accuracy in quantitative and qualitative research and by indicating technical interventions that point towards the sustainable planning and management of tourism in the area, including the locals as protagonists in the local tourist market. In this sense, it followed the path of dialectics, associated with the holistic and phenomenological vision, seeking to understand the object as an integral part of the whole and conceiving of tourism as a catalyzing factor in the transformative processes of natural spaces. The technical-operational procedure of this study is characterized as triangular and quantitative-qualitative.The population sample consisted of 488 interlocutors.The study revealed that historically there have been several factors that have contributed to the population densification and economic development of the Acaraú river inlet region since the beginning of the 17th century.It was found that in the current regional tourist context, the village of Preá has become a bustling place due to the intense flow of visitors and motor vehicles, which cut through the heart of the village on a daily basis, and the flocks of kitesurfing kites in the local sky on sunny afternoons. In this scenario, local people are affected distinctly and teleologically by the tourist phenomenon, with kitesurfing being conceived by them as the main factor in inducing the development of the place.
